Grant Milligan is a Senior Principal at Quinn Dressel Associates and more than 40 years of experience in the field of structural engineering consulting. Grant has amassed an impressive portfolio of buildings around the world. Among the structures to his credit are the Shanghai Securities Exchange Building, the Canadian Broadcasting Centre (CBC) in Toronto, Princess Margaret Hospital, the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at Toronto General Hospital, the recent expansion of Markham Stouffville Hospital, a compliance role for multiple venues for the Pan Am Games, the new Niagara Falls Entertainment Centre, and countless others.

 

The distinctive features of each project Grant undertakes are made possible by his innovative structural designs. With the emergence of 3D modelling software and increasingly powerful analytical tools, today's structures are consistently pushing the limits of structural complexity.  Grant's diverse experience brings any architectural vision to life, resulting in innovative, cost efficient, and practical structural designs.

 

Grant has been a leader at QDA for almost 30 years.  During this time, he has mentored numerous engineers, designers, and students to help advance their knowledge of the profession and guide them toward becoming proficient structural engineers. Grant also has extensive experience in project management.  His knowledge of the field, of both design and construction methods, paired with his strong leadership and mentorship abilities, make him a proven leader in the structural engineering industry.
