Quinn Dressel Associates has been honoured to be part of the design for the Zadar International Airport in Croatia and Adam Airport in Oman. We played a major role in the design and construction of the Toronto Island Airport Terminal and Toronto City Centre Airport Ferry Terminal in Toronto.

Additional Transportation Projects

  • Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Toronto
    This project consists of the provision of structural engineering services for the construction of a new two-storey Passenger Terminal Building of approximately 13,000 square metre.  


    The facility has departures located on the second floor with check-in, processing and passenger security areas for domestic and international flights. The second floor will also accommodate US Customs and Border Patrol agencies, a retail space, administration offices, crew lounge and apron control room as well as washrooms, vertical circulation and a link to the existing Ferry Transfer and Passenger Terminal Buildings. 

    The ground floor houses domestic and international holding rooms, washrooms, mix of retail, food services, duty-free, car rentals and vertical transportation. It has a continuous airside corridor serving ten (10) gates. The Canadian Border Services Agency will have primary and secondary inspection areas for new international arrivals as well as a customs secondary facility. The ground floor will include international and domestic baggage claim areas, a greeting area with washrooms, vertical transportation and retail space. There is an area for a 5-level baggage screening process including ramps and underpass. Ramp crew and staff locker, shower and washroom facilities will also be provided.

  • Zadar International Airport
    Zadar Airport is the airport serving Zadar, Croatia. It is one of the few airports in the world where planes cross a traffic road. Surface area is about 1,000,000 m2 including terminals, passenger parking, duty free shops, café and restaurants and car rental.

  • Adam Airport, Oman (Design Only)
    It is situated in the interior region at a site 30km from Adam town.  The airport is essentially a domestic airport with a capacity to handle 250,000 passengers annually. A runway length of 4 km has been designed for the airport.
